どんなcelebritiesが好きか聞かれたけど、celebritiesの意味があいまいで、変な受け答えをしていた。日本でいう「セレブ=金持ち」の印象が頭にあったが、「有名人」全般を指すよう。endorserは広告に出る人。

quesはquestionの略。

controversial - lots of argument, some people love it, others hate it = lots of discussion

tied - tie game = no one wins, the score was 1-1

  e.g. both teams tied.

fiscal - connected with money

confirmation, congirming - to check that you have the right information

rectify - make it (a problem) better, make it right, fix a proble / situation

fancy - high level (expensive, difficult, elite)

gross - not nice, in a dirty way

  e.g. dropping food on the ground and eating it is gross.

weird - strange

Demeanor - a person's behavior

  e.g. She had a cal, demeanor.

Defective - not working as designed

  e.g. This item is defecive.

Justification - a good reasion or explanation for something

Leftovers - a leftover part of something is the part that has not been used or eaten when the other parts have been

messy - untidy

tidy - having everything ordered and arranged in the right place, or linking to keep things like this

scam - an illegal plan for making money, especially one that involves trickingpeople

wary - not completely trusting or cetain about something or someone

ETR - Estimated Time of Resolustion = The time when the problem will be solved (usually IT)

Phrases

I've called IT for a update.

They have an ETR of 4 o'clock.

No way - 100% not possible

  e.g. There's no way I can finish this project by next week

Doubt - Maybe not

  e.g. I doubt if  I can complete it by tomorrow

Consider it done - when you are 100% sure you can finish something
